Farthing Electrical carried out the complete electrical installation for this Atherstone new build, working alongside Veritais on the audio-visual and smart home integration. Over 3,000 metres of cable, five bedrooms, a statement kitchen diner, wine cellar, and full external lighting with PIR security. Here’s what was involved.
Statement Lighting
Trimless LED tape plastered into the vaulted ceilings on both floors. The staircase is the real showpiece — high-level wall lights casting warm light across the full height of the hallway. All dimmable, all integrated into the smart home system.

Kitchen Diner
The kitchen is the centrepiece of the ground floor. Trimless downlights overhead, under-cabinet LED running the full length of glass-fronted shelving, and statement island pendants — all with matt black Scolmore sockets. Heat detection, mesh WiFi, and integrated audio built in. Wired for double ovens, induction hob, coffee machine, and a hot tap.
Wine Cellar
A dedicated wine cellar with LED strip lighting creating a warm, gallery-style display. One of the quieter highlights of the build — but the kind of room guests always remember.
Living & Family Rooms
Both rooms run the full width of the property, each with a vaulted ceiling lined in trimless LED tape. Five-amp sockets, recessed speakers, CAT6 and TV points, power for motorised blinds, and heating sensor probes throughout. Mesh WiFi coverage in every room.
External Lighting & Security
Full external lighting right around the property — every facade wired back to the AV rack with CAT6 cable. Low-voltage PIR sensors trigger the lights automatically, and CCTV coverage across the site. All controlled through Control4.
